FAQ

Herbal timing, answered.

How long do you steep herbal tea?+

Five minutes for flowers like chamomile and hibiscus, five to seven for leaves like peppermint, and seven to ten for roots, seeds and bark like ginger. Use boiling water and keep it covered.

Can you over-steep herbal tea?+

Mostly no, with exceptions. Hibiscus goes from tart to sour past ten minutes, and low-grade chamomile can turn bitter on a long hot steep.
