Caffeine-Free Tea

All of the ritual. None of the buzz.

The short answer

For a truly caffeine-free cup, choose an herbal tisane or rooibos — neither contains tea leaf. Peppermint is the crisp all-day option; rooibos chai brings spice without the buzz; chamomile blends settle you in the evening. None turn bitter, so steep as long as you like.

No camellia sinensis, no caffeine, no clock-watching. These steep as long as you want and never turn bitter — drink them at 9am or 9pm.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which teas are naturally caffeine-free? +

Herbal tisanes — peppermint, chamomile, rooibos, hibiscus — contain no caffeine because they're made from herbs and flowers, not the tea plant. Decaffeinated black or green tea still has a trace; herbals have none.

Is rooibos caffeine-free? +

Yes. Rooibos is a South African red bush, not a tea leaf, so it's completely caffeine-free and naturally low in tannins — which is why it never turns bitter no matter how long it steeps.

Can I drink herbal tea before bed? +

Absolutely — that's the ideal time. Chamomile, valerian, and rooibos blends are caffeine-free, and several have mild calming effects, making them a good wind-down ritual 30–45 minutes before sleep.
